Mellow Meditation

For all those interested in the 7 day Meditation Challenge. Its an opportunity to really tap into your inner space.

I've been in a more prayerful and meditative mood in the past few weeks neccesarily I've come to overstand nothing moves without the spirit. This challenge has cause me to be focus on energies within that I realize I have not pay attention to in quite some time. I highly recommend meditation and teaching others to do so as well. Intentionality is one of the most important parts of accomplishing our dreams. Blessings!!

The POWER OF WORDSOUND

The Rastafari concept of Word Sound & Power derives from most ancient Afrikan philosophy and spirituality in regard to the spoken word, incantations, sacred songs, & prayers. 

The question arises; How would we change our mode of speech and communication if we lived and breathed this concept? That every word is a prayer, a song, or a chant. Some may argue it would change nothing as humans use language as a reflection of our state of mind. But I argue something different. I uphold the idea that there are universal expressions that surpass the confines of human language but can be used as vehicles to transfer the messages of love, peace, integrity, and righteousness all over the planet.

This reminds of a scene from the film Amistad  where Cinque and several other recently liberated Afrikans were celebrating joyfully after winning there first trial. Their attorney explained to Cinque that Babylon court shistem switched the rules and that they "almost" won the case. Cinque could not comprehend! His translator could not transfer meaning because there was no word in Mende for "almost". Either you do or you don't do something in Mende culture. To me this speaks volumes to the level of corruption of America's so-called Justice system and the integrity and resolve of my ancestral people.

I'm writing today because recent experiences have taught me that people's words even today no matter how formal or broken, the English language can be contorted and manipulated to get the best or worst out of people. Including myself being on both sides of the coin.But in upholding my overstanding of Word, Sound, and Power that what is held in the dark must come to light. And instead of hiding behind nuance and complexity of language, speaking plain does wonders for the soul and for general understanding. Speaking with conviction enhances the resolve that we have within ourselves when making declarations of our belief systems or codes by which we choose to live.

Ultimately, this is the concept that people who are interested in living permaculture must spread and exemplify. No matter what our code or creed, we are only as good as our actions and how we treat people. We can look the part, assume the position, but sooner or later we will be exposed for any oratory or literary fraudulent behavior we exude.

Let us speak LIFE in the forefront of our Imanity. Speak affirming words to each other. 

Speak the Beautitudes of Yeshua Hamoshiah

Speak the teachings of His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie 

 Speak the 42 Declarations of Maat

Speak UBUNTU!!!

Speak Love, Speak Light, in all you do.

TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY.....

Life and times move in cycles and so do we. As I continue to explore the prospects of my life. I am excited and anxious all at the same time. When you know that you are destined for greatness, the reality that change and reform of attitudes and behaviors are imminent. This is the first time in my life where my future has been so uncertain yet so promising. But now I am more resolved than ever to be the captain of my own ship. This will require an imagination that neither facebook, twitter, tv, nor youtube can suggest. This reality is dictated by the Divine authorship of His Majesty upon which I am the blank page. The more I contend with stagnate energies and relationships the more I overstand that root of all these relationship is myself. Its a beautiful spring day and I will make the most of each day making good on the promise of upliftment and transformation that only children of Rastafari can bring. Why? Because a Rastaman vibration is POSITIVE. LOVE, LIGHT, & LIVITY!!

Reflections of A Rastaman in Transition

My bredrin suggested that I catalog the thoughts and ideas that surfed through my head as I engage in this time of prayer and separation from things conventational and distracting from focus. All I can say is Jah is a miracle each and everyday InI extend faith in H.I.M. Despite the poor choices I've made in the past regarding my divorce and and choice in relationships. I see that if we take one step toward Jah he will take 20 toward you. So I will continue to build this strong relationship I have. I'm examining the "friends" I have now and I'm coming to a point where I'm questioning their presence and positive impact on my life but the life of my family. So Im getting rid of them and making my Creator my friend. Instead dealing in drama, I commune with my Eternal friend. And just at the point where I think dialogue is pretty much one-sided, Jah gives me an anwer that can't be denied. So I will continue to commune, I will continue to pray, study, meditate, and enrich my spiritual life. Im at a point in my life where I know more about what I don't want than I want. But I feel driven by actions that are not the best logic but I know on the otherside of that pain is greatness. That is what I'm striving for anyway, real GREATNESS. Ashe!!!Ashe!! Ashe!!!
